The Home Buying Process in a nutshell:

  • We’ll first meet to discuss your short- and long-term goals, your budget, and expectations. The purpose of this zero-obligation meeting is to give you a greater understanding of the home buying process and how we’ll make it as easy, stress-free, and - dare we say - fun.

  • It’s important to know your budget before house hunting. Your lender will review your financing options by reviewing pay stubs, W2s, and bank statements.

  • It’s important to see (sometimes many!) homes in person.

  • Home-buying is like marriage: part love, part legal transaction, and always starts with a proposal. So now that you’ve found the home, it’s time to make an offer.

  • Our negotiation potential will depend on several market conditions: the number of days on the market, the price range, the location, etc. It’s our job to represent your best interest, always.

  • In most cases, the contract provides you with a timeline to obtain financing, as well as time to inspect the physical condition of the home. We pride ourselves on being incredibly detailed. We’ll be sure to inform you of all of your rights and responsibilities related to the contract and ensure we’re hitting all deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Bring your driver’s license and expect to sign a bazillion documents (all thoroughly explained by the title company’s Escrow Officer!).

  • Make sure to notify your VIPs and utility companies of your move. And may we suggest changing the locks?!
